Solaris 3.0 swap is finished! — Pre-mine burn, and new wallet update!
Dear Solarians,
The 6 month long swap officially finished on April 30th! We are very happy to see such a high amount of XLR swapped over to the new Solaris 3.0 blockchain.
Our initial announcement about the total swapped amount contained a small error in the calculation. After reviewing all the data and correcting the calculation error, we are happy to announce that a total of 1,466,174 XLR was swapped before the deadline.

One of the major questions that we are seeing among the Solaris community is what will happen to the unswapped coins. After long consideration and taking into account our previous experience with exchanges and third party providers, we know that having extra funds in team coffers for emergencies is vital. We have also seen countless projects completely stop due to lack of funds.
We propose to burn 50% of the unswapped XLR, amounting to about 212k XLR. The remaining coins will become part of emergency funds, with the address publicly visible to everyone on the block explorer.
The Solaris team is planning to perform the burn around the end of May, further details will be posted closer to the burn.

wallet update
We have also released an incremental update to the Solaris Core wallet. This update is NOT MANDATORY, but does some improvements and most importantly fixes the cold-staking balance recovery with 12 words. This eliminates the need to make a copy of the wallet file after setting up cold-staking. Now users can recover their full wallet and cold-staking balances just using the 12 words.
