Hi all,

Another busy few weeks for us and we are back to provide a quick update on all the developments since our last update. We also want to wish everyone a happy holiday season and hope that you get to spend it with friends and family, full of love and laughter.

Since our last update, we have fully implemented a public REST API and hmac authentication as well as make countless improvements and optimisations to the system. Here is the list of items that has been worked on and completed:

  • Developed and implemented of the public REST API / hmac authentication
  • Created GUI to issue/authorize/revoke API keys
  • Changed order cancellation logic so that it can provide direct uuid feedback to the API
  • Changed withdrawal to allow direct withdrawals through the API
  • Optimised order matching algorithm and enable shorter lookup paths
  • Load and stress testing of the order processor backend
  • Load and stress testing of the trading UI
  • Improved FIFO order system to utilize multi threading to efficiently match order parallel over markets.
  • Enforced message/ frontend updates to happen in the right sort order
  • Made the orderbook more efficient by loading limited items initially and load/show more when scrolling is applied.
  • Improved client side array lookups so that the client can handle load much better.
  • Optimization of the database queries to maintain atomic balances.
  • Improvement of database queries (overall)
  • Made “cancel all orders” work as batch job to reduce server load with lots of open orders
  • Scalability testing / running the front and backend in a load balanced environment
  • Improved visibility for red/green blinking items
  • Made order weight bar and sum column calculation more efficient

About txbit.io

Txbit is proudly made and based in the Netherlands. A cryptocurrency exchange built from the ground up to meet today’s demands in security, privacy, reliability and speed. The proprietary trading engine and interface deliver a blazing-fast, world-class user experience catering to traders who enjoy spending some time behind the charts, but also to those who prefer to be in and out quickly.

Today’s cryptocurrency exchange industry is largely split into small, poorly managed and outdated exchanges, and the large, high volume exchanges that are near impossible to be listed on due to high fees and excessive bureaucracy. Txbit aims to fill this gap, providing a modern exchange platform for everyone to use. We are firm believers in growing the cryptocurrency industry without bankrupting legitimate projects in the process.
